Monthly Prayer Letter - September 2007

Prayer Warriors:

Blessings and greetings!!! This letter comes to let everyone know that we are safe. The news coverage has everyone thinking or talking about what is going on in My country. We would like for you to remember to pray for the situation there to be resolved in a manner that would be glorifying to God. We want everyone to know that we are no where near where that is happening. We do have some national friends who have not heard from their families since this has started. We are praying that God would get the glory in this political mess. We know there are many in country who are open to asking tough questions that could lead to life changing decisions.

This month has been a growing time for us as we are working on learning the Burmese language. We are making some progress but it is slow at best.

Brenda has started teaching the Thai Government workers English which has been a challenge since all of the students are at different levels of comprehension and speaking. Her students are having a great time trying to learn English and they are grateful for the opportunity to learn.
Our ministry has gotten into a routine which includes a lot of driving and long nights. We are seeing many things happen that are wonderful because Dad is doing it and it is nothing we are doing. We have seen Dad open doors that we could not even begin to imagine. Recently we have seen Dad open opportunities for us to get into a public Burmese school and possibly teach there once a week or so.

We had a good meeting with our boss to make sure that we were on the right tract. Also to see if there were some resources that we needed that we did not have. We had a good time with them.

We have the opportunity to work with some of the poorest of the poor people and we are always so blessed to work with them. We get to see how their whole culture is changing since the whole village accepted Jesus.

God has given us many blessings that we could not have even wished for. God has brought several new believers to us so we can continue training and teaching about the necessity of sharing the work with national partners.

Praises!!!
Our son looked at his finances for college and realized that it was going to be really tight, so he went to the school and asked if there were anymore scholarships available and so Dad answered in a wonderful way and the school found another $1500 scholarship for him. That is a praise.
Our daughter has the opportunity to go to the Philippines with her school's volleyball team. She is not on the team but she is going as a sports editor for the annual to take pictures and write up the stories. The big praise is that her trip is already taken care of.

Prayer Requests:
1. Continued protection and safety as we work in areas that are unique.

2. Pray for new leaders that we can train them to follow Jesus with all of their hearts.

3. Pray for situations around us that will bring about opportunities to see more fruit and growth.

4. Pray for Pastor C. as he is getting ready to send his wife into My country to see if they can get all of her paperwork straightened out so she can get a passport.

5. Remember to pray for one another that God would truly be exalted in Believer's lives so that others would be drawn into a right relationship with the Father through the Son.
