Monthly Prayer Letter -
November 2007
Prayer Warriors:
Greetings in the name of Our Lord!.
Last month we asked you to pray for us during the last part of the month during the festival that is demonic in nature and opens up the people to demonic influences. We want you to know how much we have appreciated your prayers as the festival went off without any problems for us in fact we saw a young man accept Christ the day the festival ended. We were rejoicing over that victory.
We celebrated a first at our new church start this month. We celebrated Communion or the Lord's Supper with the members of this new church called Kapore Baptist Church. Remember to pray for their pastor Buen Yuen, he is a Thai working with the Burmese and hosts our weekly Bible study at his house. He and his family are learning Burmese but he teaches and preaches in Thai so there is a language barrier, but he is really picking up the Burmese language very fast. Over Christmas one of the new believers will be baptized which is really exciting. This new believer became a believer after being asked to lead the Bible Study. Through his study of Scripture he became aware of his need to accept Jesus as his personal Lord. Before the class was supposed to start he told the group that he had accepted Jesus and now is a new believer in Christ. God's word is powerful enough to save people who truly believe in Him. The new church is growing not only in numbers but also spiritually.

We continue to work with the Mokein People( Sea Gypsies) who are Burmese but have migrated to the islands off the Thai coastal waters. We go out to help out with our Thai partners as they minister to this extremely poor people. We help out by teaching English to the children as well as looking after some of the basic health needs of the people by treating minor first aid needs as well as teaching about the need for good hygene practices. We help out wherever necessary whenever we are able. The children are in need of some love and attention as they hear about the love of the Lord.

We asked you to pray for a woman who had an evil spirit in her. The woman died as far as we know she died without Jesus in her life and that is gut wrenching to see. It reminds us all that life on this earth is temporary. We need to be ready to face life after death and the only way is to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that everyone reading this is ready. If not or if someone has questions talk to someone you know are believers in Christ and ask them to help you to understand.
Prayer requests:
1. Pray for workers because God is moving and working
2. Pray for a woman who walked to the church seeking a Bible because she heard we had Bibles to give her. She also asked if we would help start a Bible study near her house because it was not safe to come to church. It is in an area that has a lot of Burmese people in and there are no groups meeting out there.
3. Pray as we continue to train national partners that they would also catch the vision of starting new groups in areas that do not have other believers.
4. Pray for wisdom to walk through open doors as God opens them for us.
5. Pray for the harvest as we see lives changed and Christ exalted.
