Prayer Warriors;

Greetings in the name of the Most High, Maker of Heaven and Earth.
We are definitely blessed to have such an extensive prayer network that will lift up prayer requests and us in prayer to the Lord as often as we are thought of. It really helps as we are working in our ministry. We covet your prayers as we face darkness and spiritual oppression on a daily basis.
This month we saw the Lord working in many ways. We had the opportunity to distribute nearly 1000 packets of food to some people who were directly affected by the rising cost of rice and food. We had an opportunity to teach a training seminar on Christian Living to the Burmese Church whom we work with.

Brenda had an opportunity to name a baby that was born less than a week ago. God touched our hearts by a young Muslim girl who started coming to church and we want to tell you her story as well as a few others that we have had the opportunity to be involved in. This young Muslim woman started coming to the church and asking questions about what we believe and why. These questions showed us that God was
drawing this young woman to Himself in a mighty way. The young woman came to church one Sunday and then the following week we were going to have our annual Summer training and she showed up for that as well. She was there for all of the Summer training and then she came back to help out with the preparation of the food for distribution. She kept her head covering on the whole time of the training and then when she came back to help with the preparation of the food for distribution she took off her head covering. She was joking with some of the Burmese men and working along side of all of us. She was a little nervous about taking off her head covering at first but then she became okay with it and we could see God working on her life as well. She was talking to one of the Burmese ladies and asking her some good theological questions which I was very happy to see the lady in the church was able to answer the young Muslim lady's questions to her satisfaction. She has not made a commitment to the Lord as of yet but I believe that God is going to use
what she learned to draw her to His side so that she will be His Child one day.

We were able to distribute food to nearly 1000 people this last month through the World Hunger Fund Foundation. We passed out nearly 1000 bags of rice, oil, and canned fish to help the indigent poor because the cost of rice has nearly doubled in the last 4-5 months. We had the opportunity to work alongside national partners (Thai and Burmese) it was so fun to see the joy on the people's faces as they received their food packets. We placed in the packets tracts in Burmese language as well. We know that Burmese will read the tracts because they are curious. We had a great opportunity to meet with the local
governmental heads to explain to them what we were doing as well as get their permission to do this project.

Brenda had the opportunity while passing out tickets for the food distribution to meet and pray for many women who are living in abysmal conditions. She also had the opportunity to name a baby that had just been born less than a week before. The most exciting thing was not naming a baby for Brenda, but it was the fact that some of the women came to the church on the following Sunday to hear the Gospel message.
We have started another Bible study out there where we distributed the food. We had approximately 6 people at this study and only 2 are believers that we know of.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Pray for another food distribution that we are doing 12-14 May in another village where we are helping to start a Bible Study group that will lead to a Church that is strong in the Word of God and able to produce live births of new Bible believing Christians that will evolve into churches.
  2. Pray for our national partners as they have some trouble with the local government officials.
  3. Pray for a Training Seminar that we are going to be doing 15-17 May.
  4. Pray as we have team coming to spend a month with us to help in our ministry.
  5. Pray that all of the logistics will come together and that we will be able to glorify God through this food distribution because we are working in a predominantly Muslim area with very little access to the Gospel.
  6. Pray for our Daughter as she is about to graduate from High School that she would finish well for the glory of God.
  7. Pray for our Son as he finishes up this semester and as he transfers to another college.
